Inside of the kidney bean field synagogue in Cordoba
After the expulsion of the jews in 1492 , the building was dedicated to diverse functions: hospital of hydrophobes of Santa Quiteria, hermitage of saint Crispín of the guild of the shoe-makers and school of small children until was deposed national monument in 1885. From that time on it passed by several phases of restoration as those of Félix Hernández in 1929 and the started in 1977 until reaching to the reopening of the building in 1985 on the occasion of the celebration of the 850 from birth anniversary of Maimonides.
