The the Santander social seat in the walk of pear orchard is a symbol not only of the bench, but of the Cantabrian capital. The first activities of the Santander bench date from 1857 about the commerce and the port and it is in 1909 when it accedes to the presidency the first member of the booty family. A few years after, in 1919 , the Santander buys the building that today occupies your seat in the walk of pear orchard.  ordered the work to the Ricardo Bastida architect, author of the seats of the Bilbao Vizcaya and Urquijo bench in Madrid
