The garden of saint Carlos was built as defensive castle outside of the walls in the XIV century and it remains united to the city in the XVI. Little by little it went losing importance as bulwark or "old strength" and, after exploding the spitfire that it contained, was abandoned until already in the XVIII century is recovered as garden for Carlos F. present of Croix. The current aspect of the garden of saint Carlos is due to the governing Francisco of Mazarredo in 1834 and presents a characteristic of romantic garden. It has been deposed historical artistic whole near the walls.Autor Marcus http ://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jard%C3 %ADn_de_San_Carlos_%28La_Coru%C3 %B1a%29
