Citadel( in Catalan and in an official way Ciutadella of Minorca ) is a municipality of the balearic islands, in Spain. Put in the extreme west of the island, it is the second city in number of inhabitants of Minorca and soothes of the bishopric of the island. It directed the |capitalidad| until the English occupation the year 1714.along the centuries, the different inhabitants have given you diverse names: Jamma, Iamo, Iamona, medina Minurka.
