Elorrio.

The very noble and very loyal villa of Elorrio am a municipality of the province of Biscay, Basque country (Spain), belonging to the region of the Duranguesado.This villa was founded, in 1359 for Tello XX, mister of Biscay, in terrains of the atrium of saint Augustin of Etxeberria, that it had seat and vote in the joints of Guendiaga of the Durango jurisdiction and post of a district judge. In 1630 the Elorrio villa annexes to the atrium of saint Augustin of Etxeberria for which this got out of the jurisdiction and post of a district judge and it is constituted the current Elorrio municipality. Elorrio had the number seat 13 in the joints of Guernica.Put in the extreme |suroroeste| of the Biscay historical territory in the limit with Guipúzcoa and the more occidental part of the region of the |duranguesado| this located in the high part of the Ibaizábal valley.
