The Cybele source was installed in 1782 in the salon of the meadow of Madrid, near the palace of Buenavista, face on the source of sea ( at present in the center of the plaza of Cybele, between the walk of recollets and the walk of the meadow ). include to the Cybele goddess, of the country symbol, the agriculture and the fecundity, on a cart fired for lions. The current plaza is called to the plaza beginning of Madrid and in the year 1900 took the Castelar plaza name. At present it is delimited for the big buildings of the Buenavista palace ( general headquarters of the army ), palace of flax fields ( house of America ), palace of communications (posts) and bench of Spain.
